# Where each setting lives

Beyond the scheduling plan, several other parts of the product hold settings that directly affect dispatcher decisions. This page lists them **by where you'd actually go to change them**, and only includes settings you can edit.

For the scheduling plan itself, see [Scheduling plans: how the automatic cycle works](/books/console-yF7/page/scheduling-plans-how-the-automatic-cycle-works).

## Zones

Edited from the zone's driver-availability settings.

| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Own vs. Third-Party priority | Whether orders in this zone go straight to carriers first, or start with your own fleet as usual |
| Third-Party ranking rule | When more than one carrier is available for the zone, the order they're tried in: your configured order, lowest cost first, or fastest time first |
| Allowed Third-Party carriers | Which carriers can be offered orders from this zone |
| Allowed own-driver types | Which of your own driver types can deliver in this zone. **Leaving this empty blocks all own drivers from the zone entirely** |
| Extra time buffer | Additional minutes added to the expected time at the customer's location for orders in this zone — for example, to account for difficult access |

> Zones also expose a **delivery-time deviation** field, along with pricing fields such as delivery fees and minimum order amounts. These are editable on the same screen but are **not used by the dispatcher** — the delivery-time deviation is consumed by the ordering website, not by the assignment logic.

## Stores

Edited from the store's dispatcher settings.

| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Own-fleet delay tolerance / Third-Party delay tolerance | See [Scheduling plans: how the automatic cycle works](/books/console-yF7/page/scheduling-plans-how-the-automatic-cycle-works) for how these two work together |
| Kitchen-driver max distance | How far from the store a kitchen-staff driver can be sent. Set to zero to remove the restriction entirely |

> Stores also have opening and closing hours, per day and per shift, configured elsewhere in the product. Those are **not** used by the dispatcher.

## Third-Party carriers — general settings

Edited from the carrier's general configuration. These apply company-wide, across every store.

| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Master on/off switch. While disabled, this carrier is never considered, at any store |
| Order type / sales channel | Restricts which order types and sales channels this carrier can be offered |
| Integration endpoint | The connection used to reach this carrier's platform. Normally set once, during onboarding |
| Default delivery cost | Used to estimate and rank this carrier when no live pricing is available |
| Minimum readiness buffer | How long an order must still need before it can be offered to this carrier at all |
| Max cash-on-delivery amount | Cash-paid orders above this amount won't be offered to this carrier |
| Accepts credit card | Whether this carrier can be offered card-paid orders |
| Excluded product families | Product categories — for example age-restricted items — this carrier will never be offered |
| Max distance | Farthest store-to-customer distance this carrier will be offered |
| Free-cancellation window | Minutes after assignment during which the order can still be pulled back without penalty. See [Re-checking orders already with a carrier](/books/console-yF7/page/re-checking-orders-already-with-a-carrier) |
| Description | Internal label for this carrier |

> A "default delivery time" setting also exists at this level, but it is no longer used. It moved to the per-store settings below so it can be tuned more precisely.

## Third-Party carriers — per-store settings

Edited from the carrier's settings for a specific store. These add store-specific detail on top of the general settings above, for the same carrier.

| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Max time to reach store | If this carrier's driver doesn't arrive within this time after accepting, the order is cancelled and reassigned |
| Estimated time to reach store (fallback) | Used when no live estimate is available for this carrier at this store |
| Max time to accept | If this carrier doesn't accept the order within this time, it's released for reassignment |
| Default delivery time | The delivery-time estimate used when no historical average is available for this carrier at this store |
| Clubbing allowed | Whether this carrier's driver can carry more than one order per trip at this store |
| Capacity at this store | A shared pool for this carrier at this store, **not** a per-courier limit |
| Operating schedule | Days and shifts during which this carrier is available at this store. Outside these hours it is skipped entirely |
